How to Use Craft Vinyl

There are 3 basic steps to crafting with self adhesive vinyl:

• Cut out your design - there are 2 ways to do this. We'll start with the easiest. You can use a die-cutting machine. We recommend an electronic cutter, but you can use the manual ones too (using dies, the old fashioned way). It's so easy to use a Cricut machine or a Silhouette machine. It will precisely cut your design out, automatically. The other way is to do it with scissors. Have fun with that!
• Transfer the design - in order to remove your craft vinyl design from your cutting mat and transfer it to your project surface, we recommend the use of scrapers, weeders, spatulas, and other hand tools. This helps to ensure you don't compromise the edges of your material as you transfer it. Here's the real pro tip: we highly recommend 9" transfer tape or 12" transfer tape. They will make the job so much easier.
