\"SpringThis fun springtime layout was created using the Edge to Edge Cricut cartridge for the background of the layout as well as the Create a Critter, Ribbons & Rosettes, and Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Art cartridge<\/strong> for the rest of this layout. I know that\u2019s quite a few cartridges for one layout, but I love how it turned out.<\/p>\n

Creating a Layout with Edge to Edge<\/h2>\n

Here is a sample of what the background looked like before I added all the images on top of it.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The main goal was to show you what you could do with the Edge-to-Edge cartridge. As I was trying to figure out what to do with the layout and image, it just wasn\u2019t working. So after thinking about it, I figured that this cartridge is best used for a scrapbook layout as a decorative background. Instead of spending money on expensive paper or searching for the perfect colors of background paper, you just use this cartridge to create your own.<\/p>\n

So that\u2019s what I did, used this cartridge for the background image. I cut it out at 11 \u00be so that I could get it the largest it would fit on a 12 x 12 sheet<\/strong>. You can easily just select the fit to page size on your machine and let it calculate it, it\u2019s self so you don\u2019t have to worry about how big you can actually fit the image.<\/p>\n

Finishing Touches<\/h3>\n

Now for the rest of this layout! The grass at the bottom is from Ribbons & Rosettes Cricut cartridge<\/strong> I used the border 1 x 3 and cut the\u00a0cardstock<\/strong><\/a> out at 1.12\u201d using my gypsy. In order to get the grass to go from one edge to the other without having an edge I made it longer and used a 12 x 24 but only a 12 x 12 paper so that it would cut on the mat just a little on each side but not leave a border on the grass.\"close<\/p>\n

From Create a Critter I cut out the sun at 3\u201d and the tulips at 4\u201d and the butterfly\u2019s out at 1.5\u201d<\/strong> with all their layers. I added a few pop-up dots between the layers on the sun to give it some dimension. As well as embossed all the little parts of the butterfly, sun, and flowers to give them some fun dimension as well.<\/p>\n

Happy spring was cut out from the Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Art cartridge at 3\u201d<\/strong> and the photo squares are made for two 4 x 6 photo\u2019s as well as 4 3 x 3 photos.<\/p>\n
