As I’ve stated in the past, I love this new Valentine’s Day Cricut cartridge<\/strong>\u00a0and have found so many fun projects that I want to make with this cartridge. Naturally, I decided to make another Valentines Day card! I absolutely love how this card turned out. About halfway through I was skeptical that I’d like the final product, but I think it turned out great.<\/p>\n

The overall size of this first card is 6″ x 6″ and the winged heart was cut out at 4.5″ and the “I (heart) U” at .90″. For each of the images I used just two layers, so it went together fairly quickly as it often does when crafting with Cricut products<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The top half of the card was embossed with\u00a0Cuttlebug supplies<\/strong>, namely the Love is in the Air embossing set. This set has 6 great embossing folders to choose from, and they are all great for Valentine’s Day. If you want a good brand for material, you can find some great Simple Stories cardstock<\/strong><\/a> here.<\/p>\n

That’s it! This card was pretty simple to put together. If I keep going with this cartridge, I will have all my Valentine’s Day cards done before February even get’s here. That’s great though, right? More Valentine’s Day Cards<\/h2>\n

\"cardsI am so excited that I got to play with this cartridge. It’s definitely one of my favorite Cricut cartridges<\/strong>. I started out just making these two fun cards, but I then got carried away and I couldn\u2019t stop! I\u2019m sure I\u2019m not the only one with this problem. These two cards are both 5\u201d x 7\u201d and I did two because I honestly couldn\u2019t decide which image I preferred. I used the CGull Valentine’s Love embossing folder<\/a><\/strong>, and I inked both of them to add a little color and dimension to the card. The heart rose is paper cut out at 2.5\u201d, the Love<\/em> heart is cut out at 3\u201d. Added a little bit of ribbon and some faux stitching around the edges. Super easy and quick cards that anyone would love to receive.<\/p>\n

Valentine’s Day Banner<\/h2>\n

The banner was a little more work, only because it has more layers, but honestly not that hard to make! I used the Doily Heart at 5.25\u201d. I wanted to be able to maximize a 12″ x 12″ sheet of paper (you could probably do it a little larger if you wanted to keep it on just the one sheet). Love was cut out at 4.25\u201d with all of its layers.\"wall Side note: this cartridge has a special feature that if you are using it with the Explore Air machine<\/strong> you can turn on a drawing feature so it will add another level to your project. With the Love<\/em> phrase, it added the little lines as well as drew the little hearts on. Just a little bonus for all the Explore users.<\/p>\n

For this banner, I just used some of the doily holes in the heart to string the ribbon<\/strong> through. Then, I added some extra ribbon here and there. I absolutely love how it turned out, and yes I already have it hanging up with all my Christmas decorations. It was just too cute to take off the wall.<\/p>\n
