Hey there friends, this month we are happy to have Christi back doing blog posts for us after a short hiatus. We love her projects! To do this particular project, all you need is an electronic cutting machine and colored cardstock. If you like this Halloween card project, please share it with your friends in social media. You can download the project at the bottom of the post.

It’s time to get ready for Halloween, Everybody knows the best thing about Halloween is the treats! At least that’s what my kids tell me. So today, I thought it would be fun to make a few quick and easy Halloween treat bag projects.
Silhouette 3D Open-Sided Halloween Favor Box
For me, the first thing I did was get my Silhouette CAMEO (have you seen the new Pink CAMEO 3?) out and searched through their Silhouette Studio until I found these cute Ghost boxes. They are called 3D Open sided Halloween Favor Box.
I cut them out out at 11″ tall, which allowed me to cut two boxes from one 12″ x 12″ sheet of patterned cardstock. The banner spells “Boo”, but instead of O’s, I substituted googly eyes. I think that modification turned out great

Wow, it’s not quite October and we already have snow on the mountains around the CraftDirect corporate offices! We are not ready for this yet. It’s time for Halloween projects, not hot cocoa and a blanket. We’re we excited because we have lots of free SVG designs that you are going to love. Aaron (our designer) was really busy this month. Nobody told him to work so hard, he just got carried away because he loves Halloween! This month, we have:
- (1) emoji series
- (4) Mason jar wrap designs
- (1) card/all-purpose design
- (2) t-shirt designs
Make these designs come to life by cutting your project material with an electronic die-cutter. The most popular machines we carry are the CAMEO 3 (have you seen the Pink CAMEO 3?) and the Explore Air 2. All you have to do is upload the free SVG design to your machine and then let it do all the hard work. Let’s get to the designs:
This is called Emoji Series 7 (scroll to the bottom of the post for the downloadable link) and you are probably going to want some colored cardstock.
This is the Little Wild Things Card. Solid-colored cardstock is perfect for the the monsters, but try patterned paper for the background.
The design on the left is the Fly with Big Girls T-Shirt and the child’s design on the right is the Spooky Kids T-Shirt. For material, you are going to need some Cricut Iron-on or if you prefer, Silhouette heat transfer. You can learn how to use this material with our Cricut Iron-on tutorial.
And last, but not least, check out our Jack-O-Lantern Icon – October 2016 from last year, which had over 2,000 downloads!

I’m sure you have seen my posts for the New Tim Holtz Halloween Dies. 2017 Sizzix Halloween Dies is a great year for Halloween Dies!! Oh my these are all so amazing! Okay so I finally got my hands on a couple of them, because they are literally flying off the shelves. I would highly recommend pre-ordering them if you want them, they seem to go out of stock as soon as they arrive.
The reason I decided to make Mini Halloween Things projects is I think this may be my favorite die set from 2017, I love the Mini Halloween Things Thinlits. They are perfect for making fun little cards to go with treats, or create quick tags, or add an embellishment to a photo frame. If you are like me and you enjoy giving away treats to friends around Halloween, you can add a quick note with a fun die-cut piece using this die set. and want to add a cute little note to them these would make a perfect embellishment to a gift tag. With October 31st still a few months away, Tim Holtz has been working hard on new designs. The new Tim Holtz Halloween release has inspired me to craft, the only problem is his new line isn’t quite in stock yet. I had to get creative and use some of my favorite dies that I already have. The Tim Holtz Crazy Dogs and Crazy Cats are among the funnest designs in his entire portfolio, and when you combine them with the Crazy Things, you can really dress the dogs and cats up to match the occasion at hand.
The overall size of this card is 3″ x 3″. I used the Mini Crazy Cats & Dogs dies & stamps bundle to make the dog, and then I used the Crazy Things die and stamps bundle for the witch’s hat and broom. The stamps work very well with these dies because they make it so easy to have all the fun details of the the dog without having to draw them on.
