Part 2 of 2 Part Series – Straight from the Nest Ideas Part 1
Hello! This last week has been so busy – schools are back in session around here so I had to get my son ready for 1st grade and all the craziness that comes with that. Remember to save on Explore Air machines here at CraftDirect.
So I haven’t had as much time as I like to craft. But that will change this weekend. I am so excited my sister is coming up and my kids are spending the weekend at grandma’s and it will be a nice long weekend of scrapbooking and crafting! So EXCITED can’t wait!
But in the meantime, I’ve been able to create a card with Cricut for my poor friend…this weekend she got hurt and knocked her two front teeth out. She had to have them put back in, so she is trying to recover for a few days and I wanted to make her something that will cheer her up a little. So I threw together this quick card so that she knows I’m thinking about her and hopefully to make her smile a little.
All the Details on this Straight From the Nest Card
To start with this card the overall size of the patterned cardstock is 6.5″ x 5″ so not quite a square card but also not a standard sized card either. This card was made using a few different cartridges, if you don’t have these cartridges you could find similar ones on a cartridge that you already have, such as the flower a lot of cartridges have beautiful flowers on them. Or if you have always wanted these cartridges we have them on sale right now so you can pick them up for a really great price. 🙂 For this card the flower is from the Straight from the Nest Cricut cartridge. It was cut out at 3″. The vines were cut out from Cindy Loo Cricut cartridge at 2.25″ and the background is from the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge at 5.75″.
I love how it turned out! I hope she will as well. I know a lot of you have some great projects you have made using the Straight from the Nest Cricut cartridge Ideas, so share them with me on our Facebook page so I can see what you are making and be inspired by you.
