I'm sure you have seen my posts for the New Tim Holtz Halloween Dies. 2017 Sizzix Halloween Dies is a great year for Halloween Dies!! Oh my, these are all so amazing! Okay, so I finally got my hands on a couple of them, because they are literally flying off the shelves. I would highly recommend pre-ordering them if you want them, they seem to go out of stock as soon as they arrive.
The reason I decided to make Mini Halloween Things projects is I think this may be my favorite die set from 2017, I love the Mini Halloween Things Thinlits. They are perfect for making fun little cards to go with treats, or create quick tags, or add an embellishment to a photo frame. If you are like me and you enjoy giving away treats to friends around Halloween, you can add a quick note with a fun die-cut piece using this die set. and want to add a cute little note to them these would make a perfect embellishment to a gift tag.
There are 11 different designs to choose from, ranging from pumpkins to witch's hat. The finished designs are all about 1.25" x 1.25".
So I grabbed the ghost, the owl, and the cat and decided to make a card out of each design. Each of the cards is 3" x 3" they were very easy to cut. Don't forget that this die set has a bunch of other cute dies to choose from, and if you really like these you should see the Mini Christmas Things Dies from Tim Holtz! It's no wonder that he is one of the most popular names in the industry. His designs are so much fun. I'm totally thinking I need the Christmas die set to make gift tags. They are selling really well and should be here the first part of September, so pre-order yours now to be among the first to get yours.
Last but not least, as a bonus, I did another project with a different Halloween die set. I have been so excited about the Silly Monsters Thinlits Dies and honestly, these are great for any time of the year, not just Halloween. My project, as you can see, isn't even Halloween related. With school back in session, my kids are going to be reading a lot more, so they were looking for bookmarks. I thought these were super cute monster designs and together they would make a fun bookmark. My son absolutely loved it.
The overall size of the bookmark is 3" x 8", and I cut out these cute, little monsters with my Big Shot machine and various patterned paper and cardstock solids, with some glue. Typically, you would see me adding all types of extra embellishments to a paper project, but with a bookmark you want the book to close and lay flat. I had to settle for a little bit of ribbon, then I put my craft down and slowly crept away.
Have you crafted with the New Tim Holtz Halloween Dies yet? If you have done a Mini Halloween Things project, I would love to see what you have created! Please share it with me on our Facebook page.
