It's been a while since I have had a chance to make a scrapbook layout, which is sad because scrapbooking really is my paper crafting passion. I really should scrapbook more! For this layout, I used the New Bits and Pieces Cricut cartridge. This cartridge has a lot of great simple images, making it ideal for layouts. Especially when you think about how much time goes into a layout. I have spent 3+ hours on one layout, so the ability to make something this adorable this quickly is great for me. Check out our latest prices on the Cricut Explore Air.

  • The filmstrip banner is patterned cardstock cut 4” wide and I made it about 11.5” tall.
  • The hot air balloons are 3.50” and 4.75”.
  • The clouds at 1.25” 1.5”, 1.75” and 2”
  • The banner is 1.70”.
  • And each of the picture spots is for a 4” x 6” photo and the large one on the first page is for a 5” x 7” photo.

The Hot Air Balloon Text is from Nifty Fifties Cricut cartridge.

This layout was actually pretty simple but I think it turned out super cute, I can’t wait to get my picture in place. Of course, the Explore electronic cutter made it all so easy.

Have you had a chance to make anything with this cartridge yet? If so, I would love to see your Cricut cartridge ideas, so please share them with me on the Paper Crafting Fanatics Google+ Page, or on our Facebook page. If you haven’t had a chance to use this cartridge yet then share another scrapbook layout with me I would love to see what you are all making. Save on this and other Cricut supplies online.

Happy creating!
