  1. Graphic 45 Magic of Oz Projects

pockets with inserts graphic 45 magic of oz projects completedby Richelle Naegle This year we decided to bring in Graphic 45 paper and we couldn't be happier with this new line. They have lots of paper collections that offer the unique style of the 1920s and 1930s. The design team is made up of a Mother and her daughters, and I just love that they must have so much fun working together in this industry. With vibrant colors and irresistible texture, these scrapbook collections will inspire you and you will enjoy creating beautiful projects. I decided to show off their fun designs in this blog post with a few Graphic 45 Magic of Oz projects. Of course, these characters come from L. Frank Baum's 19th-century classic, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. I hope you like them as much as I do. Without further ado, let's get to the projects: Continue reading →
  2. Sizzix Chapter 1 2019 Releases

completed fabric project with sloth bigz dieby Richelle Naegle This year, Sizzix has changed how they do their releases. Now there will just be four releases throughout the year (so they are bigger). This Chapter 1 2019 Sizzix release has some great new dies from some of your favorite designers, such as Tim Holtz, Jen Long, Katelyn Lizardi, and Stephanie Barnard. But we also have some fun new designers that you likely have never heard of, for example Olivia Rose, Georgie Evans, Carrotcake and more. Regardless of what catches your fancy, don't forget to check out all these new designers. I thought I should try some of these new Sizzix dies so I could show you some different projects. The first project I made was this adorable fabric sloth using the Sizzix Sloth Bigz Die. You can cut felt and other materials with Bigz dies, so don't limit your creativity. This little sloth is made out of felt and I hand-stitched it all together. I'm not much of a seamstress, but even I could stitch this done rather easily. Continue reading →
  3. Travel Journal Ideas

by Richelle Naeglefront view of Heidi Swapp Journal Studio Stripe Journal Kit This year, I decided that I needed to keep a diary, but I've never been much of a journal person. Recently, we've brought in lots of cute travel journals, and that's kind of where my inspiration came from. I got a lot of travel journal ideas from just looking at the products. I think the hardest part of the whole process for getting started was deciding which journal I wanted to use. There are so many options to choose from, from great companies like Simple Stories, Heidi Swapp, Crate Paper, and Webster's Pages. I started by considering what is the functional difference between them? What makes one better than another? And what's the difference between a planner, a travelers journal, and Journal Studio? Shop our discount planners and travel journals So, here is what I figured out. Planners have dated calendars. I have seen recently that some people use them to track memories. Instead of using it as a to-do list calendar they are using them as a done list. I think it's a super great idea, but wasn't quite what I was looking for. With regard to travel journals (also referred to as pocket travelers) vs. Journal Studio, I couldn't really find a difference. They are the same size, and the inserts are similar. In fact, they come with one that is blank and one with either lines or grids printed on them. The components are pretty interchangeable. So when choosing your planner and inserts, I suggest picking the ones that make you happy based on taste. Most Popular Travel Journals Here are some of our best sellers. They're hard to keep in stock, for good reason! Some of the world's famous craft designers have or will be releasing new amazing product collections for upcoming holidays and spring themes, as well as new solutions for any kind of project. Richelle just returned from CHA 2019, and she's so excited for the entire year, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. We R Memory Keepers Foil Quill allows you to transform your Cricut machine or your CAMEO into a foiling machine. The collection includes heat-activated pens, foil sheets, foil rolls, and designs from some of your favorite designers. It works with any artwork (SVG and PNG), but you will love these USB design drives that include 200 icons, phrases, and more. The best way to get started is to buy the All-In-One Kit. Designers include Heidi Swapp, Amy Tangerine, Kelly Creates, and more. Speaking of foil and Heidi Swapp, there was a MINC release, too. In addition to some cool new accessories and projects, they released several tools that should make your projects better. 5. Valentine Paper Crafts 2019 - Squirrel Valentine Card & Raccoon Layout

i love you valentine's card projectby Richelle Naegle Today, I made a couple quick Valentine's Day crafts using the Silhouette CAMEO 3. You can download the images you see here from the Silhouette Studio. If you want to save some money in the process, buy one of our download cards here at a discounted rate. This first image from my card project is called Woodland Love Squirrel Valentines. She is cut out at 4" tall, making her perfect for a 4" x 6" card. The Pebbles Loves Me collection would work perfectly for this card (and the scrapbook page that I made, as well). Raccoon Valentine Layout Naturally, I followed the card up with a Valentine-themed scrapbook layout. The featured photo frame is 5" x 7". I normally only take one picture for Valentine's Day each year, but if you want two photos, swap out my frame for a couple 4" x 6" frames. This adorable raccoon, once again, came from the Silhouette Studio. It's called Woodland Love Raccoon Valentines. I made him about 5" tall, and the word "Love" is from Love Dog w/ Balloon, but I left the dog out. I love the font from that design. Continue reading →

layout made using simple stories happy halloweenby Richelle Naegle It's October and now I feel like I can officially start creating for Halloween, and I love to make spooky and cute crafts. This year I think I got a little carried away with the scrapbook layouts! There are just too many fun Halloween paper collections to choose from this year. I couldn't decide which one I wanted to get, so I think I got them all, including: Simple Vintage Halloween Pumpkin Party Spooky Boo Trick or Treat and more! This first scrapbook layout was not created using any of those product lines, I actually went with the Simple Stories Happy Halloween Collection Kit. This is a perfect solution if you just want to make a couple pages (or a bunch of cards). It came with a sheet of SN@P Cards that are easy to add as an embellishment to your scrapbook pages. wicked cute layout made from SVD download This next layout I made is a design you can download for free (check out the October downloads post here). dino-mite layout made with so much pun by Richelle Naegle It's been a while since I have had the chance to craft, and there have been so many new craft products released that I have been dying to try. I am starting this week with a couple scrapbook pages and some super simple cards with the help of a couple of the Doodlebug Design collections. In both projects, I went with scrapbook kits. These are my favorite solutions for creating paper projects because, in one convenient pack, you get everything you need. Continue reading →
  10. Exclusive PhotoPlay Scrapbook Bundles

photoplay logo by Richelle Naegle Every once in awhile I run across a product that I just fall in love with immediately. Well, I fell in love with pretty much the entire product collection by PhotoPlay. I'm not sure how long they have been around, but I don't think it's been very long; I just found them recently. The collection that I saw first was O' Canada by Becky Fleck. The moose and the other adorable animals made me take a second look and research to find out where I could get this collection. I soon found that I loved all their paper collections and I thought our customers would love them too! To make it easy to get the entire collection we have made exclusive PhotoPlay scrapbook bundles for each of the collections we carry. Most bundles will include a 12" x 12" Collection Pack, a set of die cuts, a stamp set, and a die set. Sometimes the bundles have different products, it just depends on what is released with each set. The bundles offer you a convenient shopping solution and a better price! Continue reading →
