We’re getting an early start on May because we want to give you enough time to make Cinco de Mayo projects (more on those in a minute. Our free May design downloads are really fun this year. Aaron Meyers is our designer and got really creative this month. You can download (1) summer-themed icons file, (1) Mother’s Day-themed print, and (2) Cinco de Mayo-themed party prop files. Richelle was so excited about the Cinco de Mayo project, she already made all the props (pictured).
If you have never used an SVG file, then you should know that they work with electronic cutting machines, like the Explore Air 2 and the CAMEO 3. All you have to do is upload the file, load your paper, and watch the machine do all the work cutting it (or drawing, scoring, etc.). Here are the designs (scroll to the bottom of the post to see the download links): Continue reading “May 2018 – Free Monthly SVG Design Downloads” »

Have you seen the NEW Happy Jig collection from We R Memory Keepers in action, yet? If not, you need to get on that, ASAP. When I was at the CHA show this year, the Happy Jig was quite possibly my favorite new tool. Usually, April would be the time where we drop Easter projects on you, but 2018 was an odd year in the sense that Easter fell on the last Sunday in March. That means we had to get creative with our free April 2018 SVG design downloads. Do you remember the dancing hot dog meme that was all the rage for about 4 weeks last year on Snapchat? We thought it would be fun to add that as a layered image to scrapbook layouts, so Aaron made (1) meme icon and (2) graduation cards.
The trick to crafting with these SVG files is you need an electronic cutting machine, like the Cricut Explore Air and Silhouette machines. These sophisticated craft machines do all the work for you. There are 3 quick steps:
- Download the file at the bottom of this post,
- then upload it to your machine with your colored cardstock,
- and watch it do all the cutting.
