3D Floral Home Decor Cricut Cartridge Ideas

by Richelle Naegle3D Floral Home Decor Cricut Cartridge Ideas

With so many fun new Cricut cartridges that have been released lately, I have had the opportunity to make some super fun layouts, cards, and home decor paper crafts! With that being said, I think my favorite so far this year is the 3D Floral Home Decor Cricut Cartridge! Mostly because I love to make flowers, if you couldn’t tell from some of the crafts I have made. This cartridge reminds me a lot of the Giant Flowers Cricut cartridge, except that the flowers are giant in this one too, (well they can be depending on how large you make them). But like the the old cartridge you know and love, you can create super fun 3D flowers with our quality colored cardstock.

Before I decided what I was going to make I had already cut out the 3D Poinsettia. The Poinsettia helps me get into the Christmas spirit, I don’t know if it’s the bright red flowers, or whatever, but I love the poinsettia. So I created a couple of these flowers, and then had to decide what to do with them. Sometimes that’s the hard part for me. I fall in love with an image and then try to figure out what I’m going do with it. I had originally created these fun Notepad covers from Sizzix for a fall theme, which I still loved, but I thought how cute this flower would look on one of these. So I made another one! Be sure to check out our huge supply of Sizzix dies.

I used the Notepad Cover Sizzix Bigz L Die which perfectly fits a post-it note stack. It also comes with the rosette and a butterfly die. Then for the Christmas one I used this new Cricut 3D Floral Home Décor cartridge and cut the poinsettia out at 4.75”, which gives me a little over a 2” flower.

I can’t wait to see some of the 3D Floral Home Décor Cricut cartridge ideas that you make. Be sure to share them with me on the Paper Crafting Fanatic’s Google+ Page or on our Facebook page. As always, you can save on Cricut mats, Cricut blades, as well as all sorts of and Sizzix accessories at CraftDirect.com.

Pretty Packages Cricut Cartridge Ideas

by Richelle Naegle
Pretty Packages Box

The Pretty Packages Cricut cartridges have been flying off our shelves and it’s no wonder because of all the fun and creative projects that you can make with this cartridge. I wish I had a whole day that I could just play with this cartridge and do nothing else. I think I would make just about everything. But since like most of you I have to work and fit crafting in my “spare time” I made just two of inside Pretty packages cube boxthem (at least for now). 🙂 I started with the cube box, which I made out of patterned paper cut out at 13″, making the box about 2″ square (so it’s a small box). I think that I would make them bigger if it were a treat box. OK, I know you’re thinking it’s just a square box, but honestly it’s more than that. This little box has 4 compartments allowing you to fill it with 4 different treats. I think this box is great for fun holiday gift-giving.

Pinwheel CricutThe second one I had to make was the pinwheel! Mostly, I made this for me to play with. 🙂 I always need a little more fun in my life, so if making pinwheels makes you happy, then this is the cartridge for you! It is the only Cricut cartridge with a pinwheel on it, and you can create it in whatever size you want, so you can have large pinwheels or small ones. You can also use these great pinwheel attachments from We R Memory Keepers to attach them to stems and embellish them with a button for the flower center! Also, check out our great prices on We R Memory Keepers paper.

Anyway, I hope you feel inspired to create with this cartridge so you can give me some great Pretty Packages Cricut cartridge ideas on our Paper Crafting Fanatic’s Google+ page, or share them on our Facebook page. I can’t wait to see what you have created! Save on Cricut Christmas cartridges here at CraftDirect.

Family Albums Cricut Cartridge Ideas

by Richelle NaegleFamily Albums Cricut Cartridge Ideas

I really love scrapbook albums, and although I have found a love for making cards and other crafts as well, the whole reason I bought my first Cricut was to scrapbook. But sometimes making just a simple layout takes hours, and frankly I probably take too many pictures and have a hard time not including them all into my scrapbook. So a lot of times I am torn between making something really fun and spending a lot of time on a page (or simply just putting some pictures a title and maybe one or two little things here and there). I love the ones that I spend hours on, when I see how well they turn out. The awesome thing about Cricut cartridges is you can create amazing layouts in minutes.

Try the Cricut Explore Air 2 to cut this project.

I decided to use two of my all-time favorite Cricut cartridges on this project: When I was a Kid, and this new Family Albums Cricut cartridge. These two go great together and you can make some really innovative design combinations. I came up with this scrapbook layout that I can add some fun elements to without taking hours to come up with a unique design. So for me these cartridges are a great time saver, which is why I love them – with a little bit of scrapbook paper I can make fun and quick layouts all at the same time.

I love this layout I created. I have a few slots for pictures of my boys that I already took. They are making some cute little bug houses, so as you can see, this is the perfect theme. Don’t forget to save on a new blade for your Explore machine.

I would love to see some of your scrapbook layouts! Share them with me on Facebook page or on Google+ Paper Crafting Fanatics Page, including any Family Albums Cricut Cartridge ideas that you have.
