Winnie the Pooh Cricut Ideas

by Richelle Naegle

Cute as a Button Winnie the Pooh LayoutMy good friend is having a baby in a couple of weeks, so I wanted to make her a cute little layout for her scrapbook, to welcome her new little girl. Using cardstock and the Disney Winnie the Pooh Font Cartridge (which has some very cute baby Disney characters). I cut the piglet out at 7” cutting these characters out large works really well so you don’t have a bunch of tiny little pieces to try and put to put together, as some of the Disney characters are on some of the other Disney cartridges.

The “Cute as a button” is from The First Few Years Cricut Cartridge. It was cut out at 3.5” I love the phrases on this cartridge it has great sayings as well as a shadow feature for the phrases.

The butterfly was cut out from the Hannah Montana Cricut Cartridge at 1.25” and then I added some Tim Holtz Distress Stickles in Rock Candy to give the butterfly a little big of sparkle.

Do you have any Winnie the Pooh Cricut ideas that you have made? Share them with us on our Facebook page, or on our Paper Crafting Fanatics Google + page. I would love to see what you have created! Obviously this scrapbook layout is more geared towards a girl, so if you have one that you made for a boy, that would be especially swell.

Stay tuned to our blog for upcoming product releases, giveaways, and of course crafting ideas. Save on Cricut replacement blades as well as Cricut mats with CraftDirect.

Box it Up Cricut Cartridge Ideas

by Richelle NaegleBox It Up Cricut Cartridge Ideas

I finally got the chance to use the new Box it up Cricut cartridge. I really do love this cartridge and I will for sure be using this cartridge a lot.

I love the tall boxes on it. And even though this one was cut out at the 7.5” inches I think putting it on a 12” x 24” and then cutting it out will give you a nice size box.

For this box (which on my cartridge review I said was my favorite) so of course I had to make it. I cut the box out at 7.5” for this box it allowed me to use one sheet of paper for the box of course I had to use another for the lid.

Next I used the acetate sheets so that you can see inside the box, without your treats falling out. Cricut makes wonderful material, in terms of quality. We have tons of options when it comes to Cricut material.

I wanted to add a little dimension to this box so using the Cricut metal embossable tags, I adding a little embossing to the tag and then simply tied it around the box. This box was super easy and quick!

Sizing Tip:

To find out the largest cardstock size you can get out of your sheet for any of the boxes just use your fit to page button on your expression just remember that once you find out the size and before you cut out the inside sheet make sure to take that off and just set your dial size to match the size of your first cut.

Garden Soup Cricut Cartridge Ideas

by Richelle Naegle

Garden Soup Cricut Cartridge IdeasAre you ready for Valentine’s Day? Do you have all your cards made and ready to go? I sure don’t. However, with Valentine’s only 3 days away, if you need a quick card this one is perfect. This greeting card was created using the Garden Soup Cricut cartridge. Not a cartridge I would generally pick up when making a Valentine’s card, but it works perfectly. That kind of successful spontaneity is what makes crafting so much fun! Cricut products have so much versatility it’s easy to flip the script and come up with great results.

For this card the base of the card is 6” x 6” and the inner layer is 5.5” x 5.5”. The image was cut out at 5”. Super easy and quick valentines card. I did a lot of faux stitching around it; you wouldn’t have to do all the stitching if you were short on time, add a little bit of ribbon and your done.

I love it when you can take a simple image like this love you and turn it into a masterpiece that anyone would love to get without adding a lot of work to it, or having to spend hours making one card.

Dazzling Diamond Project Ideas

by Richelle NaegleDazzling Diamond Ideas

Want to make someone’s day? Then send them a homemade card. Want to make their day the absolute best? Then send them a homemade card with a lot of bling on it!  For this fun card I used the Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge.  The overall size of the card is a 4.5 inch square and the bug and all his layers were cut out at 4 inches. For the heart I used the Dazzling Diamond Tiffany Blue Sheet, which was of course super easy to cut out with my Cricut machine.

Here is a simple tutorial on how to cut out these designs out with your Cricut cutting machine.

You will need

  • Your favorite color of Dazzling Diamond sticker sheet (we have 17 different color options in stock)
  • Deep cut Cricut blade
  • A good sticky Cricut cutting mat. (I used the new heavy duty one and it worked great)

Simple steps

  • Blade depth at 6
  • Machine speed slow
  • Dazzling Diamond sheet face down
  • Image flipped (since you are cutting it upside down)

For more details and a great video on how to do this visit the Buckle Boutique’s blog. She also has details on how to cut these out with other die cutting machines! Shawn does an amazing job on showing you just how easy it is to use these great sheets to bling up everything. Be sure to also look around their blog for lots of great project ideas on using Dazzling Diamond sheets.

If you have used these blinged out sheets for anything, leave me a comment with your blog address or better yet post them on our Paper Crafting Fanatics Google + page so we can be inspired with your Dazzling Diamond project ideas. You can make the most out of your Cricut cartridges if you have the best material. Save online with us.
